Please check schedule often as changes/updates sometimes take place.  Read schedule carefully-the upper half pertains to basketball and the lower wrestling.

 

Season three athletics will be starting on Tuesday, January 27th from 2:20-4:30.  Sign-ups are located outside of the main office.  Season three includes both 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball and wrestling.  A current athletic packet for this school year must be on file for your child.  If you have questions, please contact Michelle Walker at 360-563-4225.

Wrestlers should come to practice dressed in work out clothing, if you have wrestling shoes bring them as well.

Sports offered at Valley View 2014-2015-updated on 10-29-14

 

 

If an athlete will be picked up from a game/meet and will not be riding the bus back to Valley View you must check out with the coach at the event.  If you will be transporting another child, that parent must supply the coach with a note allowing you to transport their child.

Athletes must ride to an event with the team on the bus.  Exceptions can only be approved by Principal Rhoades or Vice Principal Summers.

No bus transportation is provided back to Valley View for in District meets/games.  Students must be picked up at the event site. Ie:  meets/games at Snohomish High School, Glacier Peak High School, Bailey Farms, or Centennial Middle School. 

***Track pictures to be taken on Tuesday, April 29th, please come in your track uniform.  Packets will be handed out to the athletes on Tuesday, April 22nd.


Students planning on turning out for sports need to have a sports physical (which is part of the Athletic Packet) before participating in any sports practice. Athletic Packets are available in the Main Office or on the Valley View Website. Completed packets should be turned in to Mrs. Walker in the main office.  Please make sure that the physician has signed and completed his/her portion. Once these forms are completed, students are then added to our athletic database, and can attend and participate in the first day of practice. Students are also cleared for any sport throughout the year. Physicals are good for 24 months from the date of doctor approval.

The following forms must be completed in order to be eligible for athletic participation:

  • Athletic Emergency and Clearance Form (green)
  • Athletic Eligibility Form (white)
  • Athletic/Activity Code (white)
  • Physical Examination Form (yellow)
  • Concussion Information Sheet (white)

ASB cards/participation fees

Athletes must purchase an ASB card. The participation fee is $50 per sport with a maximum of $100 per year. This fee can be waived for students who have a current Free and Reduced Lunch Approval on file with the district. Please provide a copy of this letter to our bookkeeper, Mrs. Dalrymple. The athletic participation fee is due prior to the first contest and shall be paid (or waiver requested) by using the Athletic Fee envelope provided by the coach. Please make checks out to “VVMS ASB.” Refunds will not be provided after the first contest.
