Works in Progress showcases some of the fine work produced by students at Valley View Middle School. Mr. Bates would like to thank all who submitted work. There were too many excellent pieces and too little space. Thanks to Mr. Kelly, Ms. Schreeder and Mr. Cowan for encouraging students to submit work. This year Cody Gemmer did yeoman editorial work. Without his keen eye, Works in Progress would still be in progress. And      finally, The Valley View Parent Club providing the funding for the awards, gift certificates to Barnes and Noble. The staff gratefully acknowledges their generosity.

Valley View Middle School and its Parent Club are excited to support the Watch D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) program at our school. WATCH D.O.G.S. is the safe schools initiative of the National Center for Fathering that involves fathers and father figures to help create a more safe and secure learning environment in our schools.
